Invest Madeira, the Autonomous Region's investment promotion agency, held an investment attraction mission on the US West Coast last week, visiting San Francisco and Seattle.
The initiative aimed to present Madeira as a competitive destination for companies looking to establish themselves in Europe, highlighting its Atlantic location, connectivity, quality of life, and tax regime.
In San Francisco, Invest Madeira participated in the Living in Portugal USA Roadshow 2026, presenting the region as a business hub and a platform for accessing the European market. The tax regime and the Madeira International Business Centre (MIBC) generated significant interest, with companies expressing a desire to learn about the conditions for setting up or expanding operations on the island.
In Seattle, presentations were held for entrepreneurs and investors, forming part of Invest Madeira's strategy to diversify markets and consolidate Madeira's international positioning as a business centre.
