The Institute of Wine, Embroidery, and Crafts of Madeira (IVBAM), under the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries, has certified 45 trainees in professional courses.
The training programs covered Madeira Embroidery, Wine Technician, and Wood Craftsman – Inlaid Cabinetmaker. These initiatives are a result of a partnership between IVBAM and Competir - Formação Profissional, funded by the European Social Fund through Madeira 2030.
Each course lasted 708 hours, including practical training in a work context. Regional Secretary Nuno Maciel emphasized the importance of qualification in preserving traditions and strengthening the regional economy. New editions of the Wine Technician, Wicker Craftsman, and Madeira Embroidery courses are scheduled for the coming months.
