The Jaime Moniz Secondary School and the Regional Directorate of Archives, Libraries, and Books signed a deposit agreement on July 16, 2026, for 184 maps and wall charts.
These materials, belonging to the school's "O Lyceu" Museum Nucleus, date from the late 19th century to the 1980s. They were used for decades in teaching History, Geography, French, English, and German, serving as an important testament to the history of education.
The collection, which accompanied several generations of students, was notable for its visual impact and didactic component. Before the transfer, the museum nucleus updated inventories and conducted new photographic records of the items.
The school thanked the Regional Archive for its availability and collaboration, ensuring the preservation, treatment, and enhancement of this legacy for future study and appreciation.
