The 12th-grade student was elected president of the graduating class committee at Jaime Moniz secondary school with 135 votes.

Students at Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz elected their graduating class committee on the morning of the vote. Joana Ornelas, a 12th-grade student in class 5 of the Science and Technology course, was chosen as president.

Her list, which won 135 votes in favour, was the only one standing in the election, which ran smoothly during the morning. Inês Freitas is vice-president, Xavier Libério treasurer, and Vitória Martins and Sara Freitas serve as members.

The committee aims to foster student inclusion and keep the school active, with suggestions for study trips and a range of educational and civic activities. It also hopes to make the Bênção das Capas day especially meaningful for everyone involved.
