The Mayor of Funchal, Jorge Carvalho, has guaranteed that the new bus station located in Largo do Pelourinho will soon have shelters for passengers.
Carvalho explained that although the installation is delayed due to global circumstances affecting material delivery, the shelters will be installed. He also noted that the previous location of the station did not have such facilities.
At the same council meeting, an amendment to the higher education scholarship support regulation was unanimously approved, which will allow for approximately a 20% increase in awarded aid, covering all study levels.
