The Youth wing of CDS-PP Madeira is launching a series of meetings with civil society entities to examine the challenges affecting young people's autonomy, access to their first home, and family formation in the region.
The initiative, themed “Building the Future — Home, Family, and Birth Rate,” aims to gather input from institutions working on these issues to diagnose the factors influencing young people's decisions. Early participants include COOHAFAL, the Regional Section of Madeira of the Order of Architects, ACIF, APF Madeira, and Century 21 RealtyArt Alameda.
Scheduled to run until October 8th, the meetings will cover difficulties in accessing housing, construction costs, economic autonomy, professional stability, and work-life balance, as well as issues related to parenthood and birth rates. JP Madeira President Leandro Silva emphasized the need for an integrated analysis, noting that economic and housing conditions directly impact young people's personal and family choices.
