The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, inaugurated the Água de Pena II Housing Complex, located next to the parish cemetery. The development represents an investment of 5.2 million euros in controlled costs and offers 24 new housing units.
The new homes are intended to increase the supply of affordable housing, with a particular focus on young couples. Albuquerque described the dwellings as "high quality" and "well built," also acknowledging the contractor's work.
Albuquerque emphasized that this commitment to affordable housing aims to complement the real estate market by offering solutions with rents adjusted to family incomes. The head of the Madeiran executive also announced plans to continue housing construction programs in the municipality of Machico, specifically targeting young couples.
