JPP Secretary-General Élvio Sousa visited several locations in Santana, accompanied by party members and supporters, to listen to residents and identify unresolved issues.
During the visit, the party recalled the promise to transform the old São Jorge school into an elderly home, a commitment made years ago but yet to be realized, which they deem "particularly serious" in an aging municipality.
JPP also highlighted the neglect of public heritage, building deterioration, and lack of investment in essential infrastructure, contrasting with repeated announcements. The Nó do Cortado was cited as a symbol of unfulfilled promises, along with other delayed projects like the Pico da Boneca viewpoint.
The party believes the Regional Government "continues to focus on Santana mainly during election periods," with announcements and promises that do not translate into completed works. They argue that public investment should address population needs and ensure equal treatment across all municipalities, criticizing a limited view of the rural world solely for tourism promotion.
