The Youth wing of Juntos Pelo Povo (JPP) questions the stance of JSD-Madeira regarding failures in the Territorial Continuity Mechanism (MCT) platform. According to JPP Youth, the system is preventing Madeiran students displaced to the mainland from submitting their enrollment certificates.
The organization states that the situation affects over a thousand new students and criticizes the silence of JSD-Madeira, which previously endorsed the platform. JPP Youth also points to delays in reimbursements to families, with some households awaiting advance payments made in early September.
The vice-president of the JPP Youth General Assembly, Vítor Tiago, believes the delays add further difficulty for families and questions JSD-Madeira's actions with the Republic's Government to resolve the identified issues.
