The Regional Statistics Directorate of Madeira (DREM) released meteorological data for July 2026, revealing that all analyzed stations recorded average temperatures higher than the climatological norms.
The maximum air temperature registered was 33.0°C at the Prazeres station on the 4th. The absolute minimum temperature occurred at Pico do Areeiro, with 5.7°C on the 11th. The highest average air temperature was 23.9°C in Porto Moniz, and the lowest was 16.7°C in Chão do Areeiro.
Regarding precipitation, Santana recorded the highest total (15.2 mm), while several stations had no rainfall. Precipitation was below the climatological norm at all stations, with the largest negative deviation observed in Santo da Serra (-21.7 mm).
Other data include relative humidity ranging from 46% (Pico do Areeiro) to 90% (Santo da Serra), average wind speed of 22.4 km/h in Selvagem Grande, a maximum gust of 91 km/h at Santa Catarina/Airport, and 306.4 hours of sunshine at Porto Santo/Airport. The average seawater temperature in Funchal was 22.6°C.
