Kris Meeke Returns to Madeira Rally Aiming for Victory

Kris Meeke has announced his return to the Madeira Rally, expressing a strong ambition to reach the top of the podium. Driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, the British driver stated he is "very happy" to be back on the island, praising the event's quality, natural beauty, hospitality, and climate.

Meeke, whose victory was thwarted by a puncture last year, believes he has the necessary conditions to contend for the win this time. "I don't hide my ambition to win the Madeira Rally. I tried hard last year, but we had a puncture," he said. While acknowledging some new stages, the 47-year-old considers the Madeiran rally a unique and technical challenge.

Originally from Northern Ireland, Kris Meeke boasts a notable international career, including the 2009 IRC championship, World Rally Championship (WRC) appearances with four victories, and the Portuguese national championship titles in 2024 and 2025.
