British driver Kris Meeke, piloting a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, emerged as the fastest in the Madeira Rally Shakedown held this morning in Água de Pena.
Meeke completed three runs on the course, improving his time on each occasion and setting his best mark at 1:49.9.
Italian driver Giandomenico Basso finished second, just a tenth of a second behind, followed by Spaniard Diego Ruiloba, the winner for the past two years, four tenths adrift. Miguel Nunes and Armindo Araújo rounded out the top five.
