The youth wing of the CDS-PP Madeira held its 12th Regional Congress on Saturday in Funchal, where Leandro Silva was unanimously re-elected as president of the Regional Political Committee, according to a party statement.
In his closing speech, Silva reviewed the past two years and stressed the importance of civic and political training for young people, rejecting populism. The global strategy motion, titled "+ Christian Democracy – Demagogy", aims to extend JP Madeira's presence to all eleven municipalities through new local branches.
Proposals presented include a reference salary for young graduates, better professional internships, affordable housing, support for families and birth rates, and stronger mental health services.
