The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation announced on Monday that the PR10 Levada do Furado trail, running between Ribeiro Frio and Lamaceiros, is temporarily closed for safety reasons.
Visitors are asked to respect the closure signs and not to walk the route while it remains closed.
A reopening date will be announced once the necessary safety conditions are met.
