On September 26, Madeira Pride will once again take to the streets with the LGBTQIA+ Pride March. This event is considered a moment for the revendication, visibility, and affirmation of LGBTQIA+ rights.
Under the slogan «The world we want starts here!», the march invites everyone to join this demonstration for freedom, equality, and the right to be, love, and live without fear. The gathering point is Largo do Município, Funchal, at 4:30 PM, with the march starting half an hour later towards the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, where a manifesto reading and official speeches will take place.
The Madeira Pride Festival 2026 will begin at 6:00 PM at Largo do Socorro, in partnership with Barreirinha Bar Café. The event will feature performances by artists such as La Aura, Âmbar/Carlos Costa, Helena Alecia, Flufffy, Jessie La’Hore, Miss Scarlet Scandal, Shuggah Lickurs, and a literary moment with Raquel Smith.
