Madeira was represented at the 10th AHRESP Awards Gala, held at the Estoril Casino, with two finalist entries. However, neither of the Madeiran candidates managed to win a trophy in their respective categories.
In the "Revelation Destination" category, the Municipality of Funchal, with its "Semear" food strategy, was not the winner. The award went to the Municipality of Leiria. In the "Brands at the Table and Brands in Bed" category, Balancal | Vinha Alta, located in Canhas, Ponta do Sol, also did not receive the award, which went to the Lameirinho company from Braga.
This edition saw a record number of entries and public votes, but the archipelagos of Madeira and the Azores await another opportunity to be honored at the AHRESP Awards.
