The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts a Sunday with periods of heavy cloudiness on the island of Madeira.
The north coast and Porto Santo island are expected to be generally very cloudy, while the southwest slope will have partly cloudy skies. Light precipitation is expected, particularly from late afternoon, in the northern areas and highlands of Madeira.
Wind will be light to moderate from the northeast, potentially strong in the highlands from late afternoon. In Funchal, skies will be partly cloudy, becoming cloudier by late afternoon with a chance of light rain. Sea conditions will have waves of 1 to 1.5 meters on the north coast and less than 1 meter on the south coast.
