The Madeira Military Zone will host various activities in Funchal between October 20th and 25th, in celebration of Army Day.
From October 20th to 23rd, the Garrison Regiment No. 3 and the Support Unit will be open to the public. Visits will include the Coastal Battery (Pico da Cruz) and the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battery (Pico do Bucho), with specific hours between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
The Madeira Military Museum will also be accessible to the public from October 20th to 23rd, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. On Sunday, the 25th, the museum will have an 'Open Doors' policy from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
At Largo da Restauração and the exterior garden of Palácio de São Lourenço on the 25th, there will be activities such as climbing, rappelling, military exhibitions, and musical performances. The day will conclude with the ceremony of lowering the National Flag at 6:00 PM.
