The 2025 Annual Report of the Autonomous Region of Madeira's Business Sector (SERAM) indicates a substantial improvement in the financial health of regional public companies. Released by the Regional Secretariat for Finance, the document highlights an increase of approximately 298.7 million euros in net worth, a growth of 24.1%.
This improvement is reflected in a 10.2 percentage point rise in the financial autonomy ratio and a 45 percentage point increase in the solvency ratio. Liabilities decreased by 249.4 million euros (17.8%), and total financial debt fell by 39.2%, or 239.8 million euros.
Operationally, turnover grew by 3.2% (26.8 million euros), and the financial result improved by 48.9% (12.1 million euros). SERAM's investment also increased by 21.5%, corresponding to an additional 42.1 million euros.
