The Program for Support to Guarantee Social Stability II (PROAGES II) in Madeira is designed to assist families with gross annual incomes between €14,700 and €35,688 who are experiencing hardship due to the increased cost of living.
The support, ranging from €300 to €500 depending on the number of dependents, is paid in a single installment and aims to help cover domestic expenses such as water, electricity, gas, and telecommunications. The measure specifically targets households with employment income that may not always qualify for traditional social assistance.
The Regional Government has signed program contracts with 17 social economy entities to implement the program across all 11 municipalities of the island and Porto Santo. Applicants must provide proof of employment income declared to the IRS and have resided in the Region for at least two years.
