The Autonomous Region of Madeira is expected to receive 337 million euros from the State Budget for 2027. The proposal presented by the Republic's Government to the Assembly of the Republic includes two main components: the annual transfer allocated to the Region and an amount associated with the Cohesion Fund.
The Cohesion Fund is an instrument created to support investment and reduce development differences between the archipelagos and the rest of the national territory.
The budget proposal also includes extraordinary mechanisms for reducing regional debt and authorizations for financial operations aimed at reorganizing existing responsibilities and regularizing overdue payments.
