The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) anticipates periods of very cloudy skies for the Madeira archipelago this Tuesday, August 11. The wind will generally be light, below 20 km/h, from the North quadrant.
In the Funchal region, the sky is expected to be partly cloudy, with a temporary increase in cloudiness from the afternoon onwards. At sea, waves of about one meter from the North/Northwest are expected on the North Coast, and less than one meter on the South Coast. Sea water temperature is expected to be between 24 and 25ºC.
Meanwhile, the North and South Coasts of Madeira, as well as Porto Santo Island, remain under a yellow warning due to persistent high maximum temperatures, expected to range between 21 and 28ºC. The IPMA warning is associated with continued temperatures above normal for the season, especially in the coastal areas.
