A Marabu airline plane made an emergency landing at Porto Santo airport yesterday afternoon. The aircraft, originating from Hamburg and with Madeira as its final destination, declared an emergency around 5 pm.
The landing was smooth, and over 100 passengers disembarked without issue. They are expected to continue their journey to Funchal via the Lobo Marinho ferry. The specific nature of the malfunction has not yet been determined, but technicians are anticipated to arrive in Porto Santo on Friday.
The crew has disembarked and will be staying overnight in a local hotel.
