May 2026 Budget Execution Bulletin Now Available

The Regional Secretariat for Finance has announced the availability of the May 2026 Budget Execution Bulletin. This monthly publication details the evolution of regional public finances, covering the Regional Government, Autonomous Services and Funds (SFA), and Reclassified Public Entities (EPR).

At the end of May 2026, the Regional Public Administration reported a consolidated surplus of 13.6 million euros, a significant decrease from the 92.2 million euros recorded in the same period of 2025. The Regional Government incurred a negative balance of 17.8 million euros, while the SFAs and EPR maintained positive balances, totaling 31.4 million euros.

The Regional Government's effective revenue fell by 6.1% to 599.0 million euros, primarily due to a drop in capital transfers from the State, despite growth in tax revenues like VAT and Corporate Income Tax. Effective expenditure rose by 6.7% to 616.8 million euros, driven by current transfers, personnel costs, and the purchase of goods and services. Health and Education were the largest spending areas.

Non-financial debt accumulated to 204.6 million euros, an increase of 29.1 million euros compared to the previous year. Overdue payments saw a reduction of 20.3 million euros.
