New Bordal Collection Celebrates Madeira Wine and Embroidery

Bordal – Bordados da Madeira has unveiled a new collection inspired by Madeira Wine, bringing together two key elements of the region's identity: Madeira Embroidery and Madeira Wine.

The collection features a simple, contemporary design, drawing on shapes, colours, and natural elements associated with vineyards and winemaking. Vine leaves, grapes, and rich wine-inspired shades have been reinterpreted through traditional Madeira Embroidery to create pieces for both the table and women's fashion.

The official launch is scheduled for Thursday, September 3rd, at 4:30 PM at Blandy's Wine Lodge, the project's partner. The historic venue provides a fitting backdrop for the launch, which coincides with the grape harvest and Madeira Wine Week celebrations. Bordal aims to forge new connections between Madeira's traditions while preserving and renewing its celebrated embroidery through contemporary designs with a distinct regional identity.
