Applications are now open for the sixth edition of the Vicente Jorge Silva Excellence in Journalism Award, which aims to recognize outstanding work in the written press.
Established by Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda (INCM), the award annually grants a €5,000 scholarship for journalistic research and honors the legacy of Vicente Jorge Silva. Journalists of any nationality who published in Portuguese media in 2025 can apply online until September 30.
The jury includes Nicolau Santos (RTP), David Pontes (Público), João Vieira Pereira (Expresso), Luísa Meireles (Lusa), and Rui Cardoso (Clube de Jornalistas). The award has the institutional support of the Clube de Jornalistas.
