The novenas in honor of Our Lady of Monte, patroness of Madeira, continue today, August 6th, with the second celebration, the Boa Esperança (Good Hope), taking place in the Curral dos Romeiros area.
The mass is scheduled for 8:00 PM and will be led by Father Juan Noite. Following the religious service, there will be entertainment starting at 9:30 PM with the Grupo de Folclore de Santa Rita. The Tea House will be open between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
Yesterday, the Chave de Ouro (Golden Key) novena was held, which included a pilgrimage through various parts of the parish. The upcoming novenas will follow in this order: Bom Coração (Good Heart), Boa União (Good Union), Paz (Peace), Emigrantes (Emigrants), Carreiros (Carriers), Boa Vontade (Good Will), and Boa Fé (Good Faith), the last one on August 13th.
