The traditional inter-parish competition, known as 'The Werewolves', returns to Câmara de Lobos on August 15th, starting at 9:00 PM. Organized by the Câmara de Lobos City Council, the event promises a night of challenges on land and sea, set against the backdrop of the town's famous bay.
More than 50 competitors, representing the municipality's five parishes (Câmara de Lobos, Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, Jardim da Serra, Curral das Freiras, and Quinta Grande), will participate. Teams will face a series of challenges designed to test their agility, strength, and strategic skills, emphasizing cooperation and team spirit.
The municipality states that the event revives memories of past games with a modern, energetic format. It aims to bring different generations together, strengthen community ties, and celebrate residents' connection to their local areas. Admission is free, and locals and visitors are invited to attend and enjoy an entertaining summer evening.
