Every year in August, the parish of Porto da Cruz comes alive with a festival held on the 14th and 15th in honor of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, the local patron saint. The event attracts thousands of visitors to the center of the parish.
This year, the festive mass on the 15th begins at 3 PM, followed by a procession. On the 14th, Mass will be celebrated at 8 PM. The festival kicks off at noon on August 14th, with a carousel ride at Pico at 1 PM. Musical entertainment features Yosi Pinto (9:30 PM), Miro Freitas (10:30 PM), and the group Monte Real (12:15 AM), with a disco until 3 AM with DJ Mosquito Rumbero.
For Saturday, August 15th, the program includes Grupo Mariachi (5:30 PM), Conjunto Monte Real (6:30 PM), Triova Voices (8:30 PM), and Miguel Moly (11 PM), concluding with a disco until 1 AM.
