The Judicial Police (PJ) conducted Operation "CRYPTOCLAIM," identifying a suspect involved in unauthorized access and computer fraud. The crime led to the theft of digital assets, in various currencies, valued at around half a million euros.
Authorities successfully recovered and fully returned the funds to the victim. The investigation, which involved cooperation with the BINANCE platform, enabled the tracing of transactions and the recovery of the illicitly obtained assets.
The PJ advises adopting safe online practices, such as verifying the origin of links and files before downloading and using appropriate security measures.
