The Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labor, and Youth, Paula Margarido, visited Cuidados 365 – Health Care, in São Martinho, to learn about its operations supporting the elderly population.
The company, managed by Rubina Santos and Vítor Ferreira, employs 50 assistants and provides personalized nursing and hygiene care to 34 users, mainly in the municipalities of Funchal, Santa Cruz, and Câmara de Lobos.
Margarido emphasized the importance of home care for the autonomy and quality of life of the elderly, acknowledging the private sector's contribution. She also highlighted the role of the Madeira Social Security Institute in authorizing and overseeing these services, ensuring quality and protection for beneficiaries. "Aging with dignity also means having the possibility to continue living at home," stated the regional secretary.
