A pedestrian incident occurred on the morning of Friday, July 3, 2026, at the entrance of the arrivals terminal of Madeira Airport. The alert was received at 9:24 AM.
The victim, a man, received on-site assistance and was transported by ambulance to the Central Hospital of Funchal by the Santa Cruz Firefighters. Machico Municipal Firefighters also attended, assisting the driver of the vehicle involved, who was reportedly shaken by the event, at the Machico Health Center.
