Madeiran composer Pedro Macedo Camacho emphasized the importance of collective work and the union of cultures in a video message shown at the opening of Mesclarte’26. The event is being held at the Legislative Assembly of Madeira.
Camacho created an original piece for the summit, presented in a segment that combined music, visual art by Dayanni Belandria, and contemporary dance by Luís Daio. He likened the necessity of multiple elements in an orchestra creating a unified sound to artistic collaboration, stating his belief that "nothing is done alone in life."
In his message, the musician thanked the invitation and the contributions of everyone involved in the project. He also expressed his hope that the initiative will foster new collaborative opportunities and bring cultures closer together.
