The latest polls in the Americas point mainly to a Democratic lead in the United States midterm elections held today, 3 November 2026. In PolitPro's weighted average, Democrats stand at 50.5% and Republicans at 42.4%.
For the House of Representatives, models give Democrats between 79% and 93% probability of winning a majority. In the Senate the advantage is less secure, with estimates between 57% and 82%. An NBC News poll found 52% of registered voters preferring a Democratic-controlled Congress, against 45% for Republicans.
The Senate remains especially uncertain, with close races in Alaska, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Ohio and Texas. Meanwhile, in Brazil, the latest AtlasIntel/Bloomberg poll shows a tight presidential runoff.
