Funchal's Sapadores Firefighters were called out early Sunday morning to a small brush fire in the Galeão area.
The alert was received at 3:45 AM. A team of 10 firefighters, supported by three vehicles, was dispatched to the scene.
It is understood that the fire originated from a burn that was not fully extinguished and reignited during the night. Firefighters quickly brought the flames under control, with no reports of further damage.
