The renovation of the Porto Moniz Care Home, involving an investment of 1.2 million euros, has led to improved facilities and working conditions.
The intervention included the creation of new rooms, including triple rooms, activity rooms, and a staff area. Technical aids were also acquired to enhance resident comfort and prevent injuries among staff.
The home maintains its capacity of 37 residents, with judicial administrator Luísa Pessanha clarifying that "there are no new beds, there are new rooms."
