The Regional Government has announced the construction of a new Activity Centre for Empowerment and Inclusion (CACI) in Porto Santo, scheduled for completion in 2027. This new facility aims to enhance social support for individuals with disabilities on the island, fostering autonomy, empowerment, and community inclusion.
Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, Paula Margarido, presented the project, which involves an estimated investment of two million euros. The single-story, fully accessible building will accommodate 30 users, a significant increase from the current eight, thereby improving support conditions for both users and their families.
