The Santo António Parish Council has approved 854 applications for the EDUCA+ program for the 2026/2027 academic year, marking a 42% increase compared to the previous year.
The rise in demand prompted the local authority to increase its budget, with the total investment now exceeding 35,000 euros. This support is aimed at families with students from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cycles of basic education.
This year's initiative featured a fully digitized process via the Parish Council's portal, an innovation praised by president Marcelo Gouveia for simplifying procedures and eliminating the need for physical visits. After digital validation, guardians receive an email confirmation with a QR code to collect their school voucher.
