The Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC), along with its Madeira Regional Branch, has initiated a volunteer recruitment drive for this year's National Collection.
This four-day fundraising event, scheduled from October 29th to November 1st, aims to finance the League's work in supporting individuals with cancer and their families. The campaign, titled “Connect to the League,” particularly seeks to encourage younger people to get involved.
The LPCC highlights that volunteers do not need to make a significant time commitment, with anyone able to offer just a few hours during the four days making a worthwhile contribution. Funds raised support patient and family assistance, cancer prevention, early diagnosis, professional training, and oncology research.
Additional volunteering opportunities are available throughout the year. Madeira residents interested in participating can contact the LPCC's Madeira Regional Branch or register via the organization's website.
