The Autonomous Region of Madeira will host protests against the rising cost of living next Saturday. The Madeira delegation of the Union of Public and Social Services Workers (STFPS) is organizing a demonstration in Funchal, starting at 10:00 AM.
The event, titled "Against Impoverishment, for Rights and a Better Life," aims to highlight inflation in the region, which remains above the national average, increasing the cost of essential goods and services. The STFPS calls on the Regional Government to adopt concrete measures to address the difficulties faced by workers.
These protests are part of a series of demonstrations scheduled across various Portuguese cities over the weekend, called by the CGTP and other social movements, addressing issues such as the right to housing and the general increase in the cost of living.
