PS councilor Rui Caetano reiterated at the City Council meeting the urgency for a structural response to Funchal's mobility and traffic management.
According to the councilor, isolated interventions such as creating BUS lanes or placing bollards are insufficient to solve the serious circulation problems. The party advocates for global planning that articulates traffic, public transport, parking, and the pressure from rental vehicles.
The PS believes that establishing a Municipal Police force would be the most efficient solution for managing traffic with proximity and rigor, as well as ensuring greater safety and quality of life.
