PSD deputy Valter Correia stated in the Legislative Assembly of Madeira that the school year is proceeding normally in the region.
Correia guaranteed that all students have teachers assigned to all subjects, contesting criticisms from JPP regarding the situation of teachers and alleged shortages. He argued that the recruitment processes were timely and that the region safeguards the professional conditions of the teaching class.
The social democrat also refuted references to professional burnout and the aging of the teaching staff, highlighting favorable working conditions in Madeira, such as reduced teaching hours and career progression rules. The PSD pledged to continue investing in the appreciation of teachers.
