PSD Highlights Support for Families with School Holiday Project

PSD deputies in the Legislative Assembly of Madeira visited the 'Férias Divertidas' project, run by the Garouta do Calhau Association. The initiative aims to support families during school holidays, helping them balance work and childcare.

PSD deputy Cláudia Perestrelo highlighted the project as a good example of collaboration between entities, including the Regional Secretariat for Education and parish councils, to meet the needs of children and families. The Holiday Activity Centers (ATL) provide a safe space with activities, offering peace of mind to parents.

The 'Férias Divertidas' project involves around 150 children and over 20 staff members, as well as young monitors through a partnership with the Regional Directorate for Youth.
