The regional commander of the Public Security Police (PSP) in Madeira, Superintendent Ricardo Matos, warned about phenomena that make society more insecure and less healthy, focusing on dependencies.
Matos stressed that these dependencies are often associated with social exclusion and criminal behavior, emphasizing that public authorities must combat these issues through coordinated action.
The PSP participated in the "Not So Smart" operation, led by the Judicial Police, targeting the trafficking and consumption of illicit substances. Twelve officers worked for over 12 hours with the aim of discouraging the proliferation of shops selling such products.
