The Union of Workers in Public Functions and Social Services of the South and Autonomous Regions, Madeira Delegation, has called for a National Demonstration in Funchal, to be held on October 17 at 10:00 AM.
The initiative aims to highlight the persistence of low wages and the rising cost of living, which exacerbate the economic difficulties of workers and their families, particularly in Madeira, where inflation exceeds the national average.
The union urges concrete measures from the Regional Government to address this reality, emphasizing that many workers' salaries no longer cover basic expenses and that political choices have favored large economic groups over workers.
