The Regional Government has granted exceptional authorization for the Quinta do Furão Rural Hotel in Santana to expand its capacity to 154 beds. This decision allows the establishment to surpass the 120-bed limit set by the Tourism Development Program of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (POT-RAM).
The authorization, published in the Official Gazette, enables the expansion from 65 to 75 accommodation units. The project includes ten new units, a spa, pizzeria, bakery, and enhanced green spaces, along with environmental improvements like photovoltaic panels and electric vehicle charging.
