The ecological islands set up in the assistance zones of the Rali da Madeira are fulfilling their mission of hazardous waste collection, according to the organization.
To date, 75 liters of engine, transmission, and lubrication oils, 25 liters of brake oils, 300 ml of antifreeze fluids, 13 contaminated containers, 4 used oil filters, and approximately 500 g of contaminated cloths and absorbent materials have been collected.
All this waste will be sent to a licensed operator for proper treatment, preventing environmental contamination. The organization congratulates the teams for adopting good environmental practices, contributing to a more responsible and sustainable event.
