The Madeira Wine, Embroidery and Crafts Institute (IVBAM) is promoting the Regional Crafts Valorisation Award (PVAR) for the fifth consecutive year. The initiative aims to distinguish the excellence and differentiation of Madeiran crafts, encouraging the preservation of traditional knowledge and valuing this art as an expression of the Region's cultural identity.
The 5th edition of the award is dedicated to the theme 'Autonomy – 50 Years of History', marking five decades of Regional Autonomy. Artisans are challenged to create pieces inspired by the collective memory, symbols, and historical journey of Autonomy, combining tradition and innovation.
Applications are open from July 15 to 30, 2026, with submissions due between October 1 and 15. IVBAM coordinates the entire process, from application management to award evaluation and distribution, reinforcing its role in promoting and certifying regional crafts.
