The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries, Nuno Maciel, formalized a programme contract with the Casa do Povo da Camacha, securing €20,000 in financial support for the 2026 edition of the Art’Camacha – Camacha Art Festival.
Maciel described the funding as an "investment in our culture," emphasizing the quality of previous festival editions. The contract aims to enhance and perpetuate initiatives linked to the rural world, agriculture, and Madeiran traditions, recognizing their role in revitalizing communities and promoting regional products.
A significant portion of this support, at least 20%, is to be directly invested in valuing agricultural activity, through the purchase of regional products and support for local producers. The festival, now in its 35th edition, is a cultural and ethnographic highlight that promotes agricultural and agri-food products, affirming Camacha as a territory connected to Madeiran rurality.
