The Regional Government, through the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure and IHM – Madeira Housing Investments, handed over 24 new homes last Friday in the parish of Água de Pena, Machico municipality.
The homes were constructed under controlled costs, as part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), representing an investment of over 5.2 million euros. The initiative aims to provide dignified and accessible living conditions for Madeiran families and to strengthen the region's public housing stock.
Regional Government President Miguel Albuquerque highlighted the quality and location of the apartments, noting that rents are proportional to young people's income. He also announced that the next development will be in Tabua, with other housing units already under construction.
